Icelandair – most punctual European airline

Icelandair has been rated the most punctual European airline by members of the Association of European Airlines (AEA) on long-haul flights in May, with a punctuality rate of 91.1%. Icelandair also topped the ratings for the period between January and May with 89,9% of flights on time.
On all international flights – including the short and medium-haul routes Icelandair does not service - Icelandair ranked fifth in a total of 25 international airlines, with a punctuality rate of 89.9% so far this year. The AEA regularly publishes data on the punctuality of its member airlines.

Especially since we have recently expanded our flights network and connection services at Keflavik airport with around 400 flights currently taking off every week”,. says Birkir Hólm Guðnason, chief executive of Icelandair.
