You may carry more baggage than your regular baggage allowance by paying an excess baggage fee. The excess baggage fees are charged if you exceed your free baggage allowance.
Weight concept
There is a special charge per kilo on flights between Iceland and Europe. The price of 1.400 ISK per kilo applies to all Iceland departures. The charge of 10 EUR applies to other European departures, converted to the local currency where applicable. These charges hold for Icelandair flights within Europe and per a single flight leg.
Piece concept
On flights to/from North America the piece concept applies.
For extra weight, if your baggage weighs 51lbs (24kgs) to 70lbs (32kgs), the following per-piece one-way fee will be collected in each direction:

For extra pieces, each weighing 1lb - 50lbs (1-23kg), the following per-piece one-way fee will be collected in each direction:

If your extra piece is heavier than 50lbs (23 kg) the extra weight charge will also apply.
